It is with profound sadness that I report the passing of Dr. Cyril Brookes. ومن بحزن عميق الاول تقرير وفاة الدكتور سيريل بروكس.

Dr. Cyril HP Brookes, a pioneer in Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence died in a tragic accident at home on 13 December 2007. الدكتور سيريل حصان بروكس ، رائدة في مجال ادارة المعرفه والمعلومات التجارية توفي في حادث أليم في المنزل في 13 كانون الاول / ديسمبر 2007.

Cyril was a driving force in Australian information Systems having been the Manager of IS at BHP (CIO equivalent) and then being appointed the first professor of IS at the University of New South Wales. سيريل كان القوة الدافعه ونظم المعلومات في استراليا بعد أن كان هو مدير في BHP (ما يعادل كبير موظفي المعلومات) وبعد ذلك تعيين اول هو استاذ في جامعة نيو ساوث ويلز. In 1989 Cyril’s pioneering work at UNSW led to the creation of Grapevine Technologies Ltd, one of the first KM/BI systems that specialized in management of tacit information in corporations. في عام 1989 سيريل عمل رائد في unsw ادت الى انشاء شجرة العنب التكنولوجيات المحدوده ، واحدة من أولى كم / بى المتخصصه في نظم ادارة المعلومات في الشركات ضمني. grapeVINE evolved into one of the earliest corporate portal products and is now part of the Sun Microsystems Inc. product portfolio. شجرة العنب تطورت الى واحدة من أولى الشركات والمنتجات والبوابه هي الآن جزء من شركة صن مايكروسيستمز المنتجات الحافظه.

Recently Cyril had focused his attention on BI with his blog, Cyril on Business Intelligence and his company BI Pathfinder . سيريل فى الاونة الاخيرة قد ركز اهتمامه على ثنائية مع صاحب بلوق ، سيريل الاستخبارات بشأن الاعمال التجارية وشركته باثفايندر الطائفتين. This recent focus never let his passion for tacit knowledge management ebb, but brought a new dimension to business decision making through tacit Knolwedge Managment and Business Intelligence. تركز هذه الأخيرة لم يترك حبه لادارة المعرفه الضمنيه الجزر ، ولكنها جلبت بعدا جديدا إلى الأعمال التجارية من خلال اتخاذ القرار الضمني knolwedge ادارة الاعمال والاستخبارات.

Cyril contributed an incredible amount of passion, research, writing and evangelism to the KM and BI conversation. سيريل ساهمت بمبلغ لا يصدق من الانفعال العاطفي ، والبحث والكتابة والتبشير الملائكي الى كيلو متر ونصف المحادثة. He has touched countless lives and leaves a rich legacy. وقد تطرق لا يحصى من الارواح ، وترك تراثا غنيا. He could have retired and left KM/BI behind, but instead he chose to include his passion for his family, friends and colleagues along with KM/BI in his daily life. وقال انه يمكن ان يكون المتقاعدين وغادر كم / وراء الطائفتين ، ولكنه اختار بدلا من ان تدرج حبه لأسرته واصدقائه وزملائه الى جانب كم / الطائفتين في الحياة اليوميه. Cyril will be greatly missed by all who experienced his unique life. سيريل وسوف نفتقده كثيرا من قبل جميع من له خبرة فريدة في الحياة.
