The missing BI link Die fehlenden BI-Link

Consolidation in the BI space is picking up speed, similar to a snow ball rolling down a hill.  HP has jumped into the game and Oracle recently announced the acquisition of Hyperion Solutions.  I don’t have an opinion on if this consolidation is good or bad, but I do think it was bound to happen. Die Konsolidierung im BI-Raum ist Abholung Geschwindigkeit, ähnlich wie bei einem Schnee-Ball rollt einen Hügel hinunter. HP hat den Sprung in das Spiel und Oracle vor kurzem kündigte die Akquisition von Hyperion Solutions. Ich habe nicht eine Stellungnahme zu, wenn diese Konsolidierung ist gut, oder schlecht, aber ich glaube, es war zwangsläufig passieren.

What I find interesting is that there is a missing piece to what is going on in the BI industry.  No vendor seems to be focusing on how to efficiently gather and document the user requirements for BI systems. Was ich interessant finde ist, dass es ein fehlendes Stück zu, was in der BI-Industrie. Nr. Anbieter zu sein scheint sich auf, wie effizient zu sammeln und dokumentieren die Nutzeranforderungen für BI-Systeme.

What got me thinking about this topic is my work with BI Pathfinder and a recent article in InformationWeek, Query: What’s Next In BI? There are billions of dollars being spent on BI tools, but very little of that is being spent to better identify what is truly valuable to the decision makers in organizations. Was hat mich denken über dieses Thema ist meiner Arbeit mit BI Pathfinder und einem aktuellen Artikel in InformationWeek, Recherche: Wie geht es weiter in bi? Es gibt Milliarden von Dollar ausgegeben werden auf BI-Tools, aber sehr wenig über das ausgegeben wird zu einer besseren identifizieren, was ist wirklich wertvoll, um die Entscheidungsträger in Organisationen.

I believe that the next wave in BI will be tools that allow the designers of BI systems to present decision makers with relevant and timely information that helps them assess status and find problems. Ich glaube, dass die nächste Welle an BI-Tools werden, mit denen die Designer von BI-Systemen zu präsentieren Entscheidungsträger mit relevanten und rechtzeitigen Informationen, die ihnen hilft, zu bewerten und Probleme finden.
