Tacit Knowledge and Social Networks Tacit knowledge und soziale Netzwerke

I’ve always tended to hang my KM hat on the value of tacit knowledge and helping organizations leverage that mostly untapped resource.  Those that have been readers of KM News for any length of time are aware of my definition of KM - KM is about connectedness; connecting people to people and people to information to create a competitive advantage. Ich habe immer die Tendenz zu hängen meine KM Hut auf den Wert von "tacit knowledge" und hilft Organisationen, die Hebelwirkung meist unausgeschöpftes Ressource. Jene, die Leser von KM Nachrichten für jede Länge der Zeit bewusst sind meine Definition von KM - KM geht es um Verbundenheit ; Verbindung von Menschen zu Menschen und Menschen zu Informationen zu schaffen, einen Wettbewerbsvorteil.

Clearly we have a revolution taking place with respect to social networks.  What are social networks doing?  Creating and extending connections of course.  The context (business, pleasure, …) of those connections varies but still allows for developing relevant connectedness. Natürlich haben wir eine Revolution statt in Bezug auf soziale Netzwerke. Was sind soziale Netzwerke? Erstellen und Verlängerung Verbindungen natürlich. Der Kontext (Geschäfts-, Genuss,…) der Verbindungen variiert, aber immer noch erlaubt für die Entwicklung von einschlägigen Verbundenheit.

Do social networks allow us to find out what we don’t know, do they allow us to share our knowledge with other people, do they empower and leverage the collectives knowledge?  The answer to all those questions is YES .  So why are structured organizations so slow to adopt social networking and collaborative tools like Wiki’s within their “walls”… Do sozialen Netzwerken erlauben es uns, um herauszufinden, was wir nicht wissen, tun sie erlauben uns zu teilen unser Wissen mit anderen Menschen, sie befähigen und Hebelwirkung der Kollektiven Wissen? Die Antwort auf all diese Fragen lautet: Ja. Also warum sind strukturierte Organisationen so langsam zu verabschieden sozialen Vernetzung und kollaborative Tools wie Wiki's in ihren "Mauern"…

Microsoft Buys Credentica U-Prove Microsoft kauft Credentica U-Prove

It was announced today that Microsoft has purchased Credntica ’s U-Prove technology. Es wurde heute bekannt gegeben, dass Microsoft erworben hat Credntica 's U-Prove-Technologie.

Trust (and privacy) is a key aspect of connectedness. Trust (und der Privatsphäre) ist ein zentraler Aspekt der Verbundenheit. We share more with people we trust and less with those we don’t. Wir teilen mehr mit Menschen, denen wir vertrauen und weniger mit denen wir nicht. As Kim Cameron puts it, U-Prove works on a “need to know” basis. Als Kim Cameron drückt es so aus, U-Prove arbeitet auf einer "wissen müssen". If a web site proves worthy we might share more details and the Info Card with U-Prove will make that easier to accomplish. Wenn eine Website beweist, könnten wir würdig Aktie mehr Details und die Info-Card mit U-Prove dazu führen, daß leichter zu bewerkstelligen.

We will eventually see adoption of Info Cards as a mechanism. Wir werden sehen, schließlich Annahme der Info-Karten als Mechanismus. Adoption is slow but this bit of news will undoubtedly move things along. Annahme ist langsam, aber dieses Bit von Nachrichten wird zweifellos die Dinge zusammen.

Does Daylight Savings Time Save Energy Ist der Sommerzeit Energie sparen

Daylight savings time kicks in here in the United States this weekend.  That’s almost a full month earlier than in the past.  Does this really save energy? Daylight Savings Time Auftakt hier in den Vereinigten Staaten an diesem Wochenende. Das ist fast einen vollen Monat früher als in der Vergangenheit. Ist das wirklich Energie sparen?

A recent study conducted by Matthew Kotchen and Ph.D. Eine kürzlich durchgeführte Studie unter der Leitung von Matthew Kotchen und Ph.D. student Laura Grant from UCSB indicates that it costs Indiana residents approximately an additional $8.6mm in utilities when they started observing DST.  That’sa pretty significant cost. Studentin Laura Grant von der UCSB deutet darauf hin, dass es kostet Indiana Einwohner etwa ein zusätzliches $ 8.6mm in Versorgungsunternehmen, wenn sie beobachten Sommerzeit begonnen. Das ist ziemlich deutliche Kostenvorteile.

What’s the KM angle?  Maybe there are not cost benifits to Daylight Savings Time, but some people think there are social benefits; less crime, fewer fatal auto accidents, and more outdoor recreation time. Was ist der KM-Winkel? Vielleicht gibt es nicht Kostenvorteile zu Daylight Savings Time, aber manche Leute denken, es gibt Sozialleistungen; weniger Kriminalität, weniger tödliche Unfälle Auto-und Outdoor mehr Zeit.

What do I think? Was muss ich denken? I just don’t want to lose that hour this weekend. Ich habe gerade nicht verlieren wollen jener Stunde an diesem Wochenende.
